Felt roofing is a flat roofing system made from layers of bitumen-based roofing felt. It’s sometimes called asphalt roofing, although this isn’t strictly accurate. Modern felt systems are built up in layers to create a very strong and resistant covering.

Felt is commonly used on garages, extensions, porches and other flat or low-pitched roofs.
