Rubber (EPDM) roofs overcome some of the typical issues with flat roofs, such as weaknesses along the seams and stretching and blistering under harsh weather and UV rays. EPDM can be installed in large sheets, reducing the number of seams and joints, and the rubber remains flexible even in changing temperatures. Some people also prefer the appearance, which can look sleek and modern.

However, felt roofs are long established and trusted. Modern high-performance felt roofs are typically installed in multiple layers, making them stronger and more resistant than the basic felt coverings you might associate with older sheds and garages. Many of the flat roofs we install are modern felt roof systems.
